Is the new Super Mario Run fun to play and worth buying? Now, before I answer the question. I've heard and read a lot of positive and negative reviews about the game since its launched in December 2016.
The game is available to play in over 150 countries, but it is available for iOS users for now. The game will be available for android users, expected this coming March. But android users can already pre-register in the site.
Super Mario Run may not be the first side-scrolling, auto-runner platformer, but Nintendo is proud that they made this game available for mobile platforms. And as of this day, it is still the number one app download in Apple Store. It is still on top of the charts. The current estimated download is over 40 million and counting. The cost of the game is $9.99 in the United States, AU$14.99 in Australia and £7.99 in the United Kingdom. It will unlock all the 6 worlds, 24 different levels plus 20 Rally Tickets and 30,000 gold coins. But some are hesitant to get the game because of its marketed price. But for the million fans of Mario, this didn't take much of an issue. In fact, you can play the first 3 levels of the game to get the feel of it and it's for you to decide whether you want to proceed and buy the game or not.
The game also supports different languages mainly English and the rest are Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Traditional Chinese. And it will be also available in Korean, hopefully in the next update. Currently, the app is in version 1.0.2 and we hope for the best improvements in this game. We always trust Nintendo developers to add more improvements in the game and features as well. Surprisingly, they also made Super Mario Run stickers which you can add it to your current messenger applications to make your messaging experience more fun. It adds up some friendly approach in your group conversations with a touch of Mario. Again, this is only available on iOS.
Sadly, you cannot play the game in offline mode. It requires an internet connection to update your current game mode and statistics. But I don't think that will be a disadvantage since you always have your data and wifi connections. There are over 50,000 reviews in the App store alone. And people have different insights of it. Despite the drop of reviews, people are still on a hype to try out and complete the game. Is it worth buying and fun to play? To answer that question, in my opinion, is YES it's fun to play. Let's face it, it's Nintendo. We can assure high-quality gaming experience simplified controls. And they made it fair to be played free at the first 3 levels. Plus, it comes with exciting game levels, challenges and you will be able to compete with other players as well. I think that is already worth more than the price tag.
